Are stripes good to use on cushions?

Decorating with stripes on cushions is a terrific way to create some order in your space, whether you use them in a classic style or in a very modern and contemporary way.

Given their versatility, stripes are perfect for cushions because they look well on almost every piece of furniture, regardless of their pattern. Depending on how they're used, it has the ability to completely alter the look of an interior; they give a room a clean, polished vibe. The best part is that striped textiles blend wonderfully with plains, flowers, and other patterns, allowing them to be utilised almost anywhere. Soft furnishings made of striped fabrics can be made in a variety of styles, including classic, wild, vibrant, and tone-on-tone.

For impact, we have French Ticking, Stripe and Dash, and Stockholm Stripe, and for subtlety, we have Simple Ticking Detail on a beautiful soft cream background; something to suit every space!

What other patterns complement and contrast with stripes on cushions?

The Pretty Maids spots, contrast beautifully with the striped fabric. Additionally, each stripe is created to work with the other prints in the respective collections to which it belongs. For example, the Stockholm Stripe pairs well with Dawn Chorus, French Ticking pairs well with Flora and Fauna, and Simple Ticking Detail pairs well with Pretty Maids.

Please ask for fabric samples and see the colours in your rooms. If you order a half metre returnable sample you can drape them over your existing shades, or just in situ to where the shade will go, and see how it looks.

All our fabrics are printed in the UK on a good weight of 100% Linen, and Linen Union, making them suitable for lampshades, curtains, blinds, cushions, and upholstery. We hold a good stock of all our fabrics ensuring delivery is usually within 3-5 working days subject to availability. The same team, who takes your order will roll, inspect and cut it, so accuracy and quality can be assured.
