I have spent many happy hours combing the beaches of Pembrokeshire and Cornwall initially with my mother as a child and then with my children as a mother! I noticed that the shells often create circular halos in the sand around them, which I have shown in my designs. Nature is relaxed and instinctive about colour, the best combinations exist naturally and I have chosen watery blues, warm sand and the pretty pinks of delicate shells.
