Made to Measure Curtains

Do you have any curtain fabrics with leaves and ferns on them?

Yes, there are many designs that feature fauna. With room designs that are inspired by plants, bring the outside inside with our leafy patterns. You can embrace the beauty of the outdoors by bringing the grace and delicacy of the finest leaves and fern shapes into your homes. Detailed and graceful, these designs will enliven your interiors.

The following are some examples:

We love the serenity of a one-colour print exemplified in the Fern and Dragonfly design, large graceful fern heads in Raspberry, Lichen, Speedwell, Smoke, Water and Hay.

Also see the smaller images in our Woodland Walk design which comes in a beautiful Field Green colour.

Our very bestselling selling and oldest print, Cow Parsley, is completely timeless. The very distinctive leaves and flower heads have been depicted on fabrics for centuries. Down to Earth, Little Leaf and Botanical Trellis all feature the same stylized leaf motif, but in different patterns.

Flora and Fauna also depicts leaves of the Dog and Field Rose found in hedgerows.

We can make beautiful hand sewn curtains for you through our Made to Measure service.

Please ask for fabric samples and see the colours in your rooms. If you order a half metre returnable sample you can drape them over your existing shades, or just in situ to where the shade will go, and see how it looks.

All our fabrics are printed in the UK on a good weight of 100% Linen, and Linen Union, making them suitable for lampshades, curtains, blinds, cushions, and upholstery. We hold a good stock of all our fabrics ensuring delivery is usually within 3-5 working days subject to availability. The same team, who takes your order will roll, inspect and cut it, so accuracy and quality can be assured.

How to measure up for your curtains:

A video guide to help you measure up

Please remember that pattern repeats and fabric widths are automatically calculated if you order through our website. It is advisable to fit your pole or track before ordering your curtains. Your pole or track should ideally extend 30cms on each side of the window so when drawn back light is maximised and at least 15cms above the top of the window to block out as little light as possible again. Please use metric units only when measuring.

Poles:

WidthIf you have a pole, measure the distance between the finials. (A)

Finished Length for pencil pleat, triple pleat and double pleat - when measuring the finished length using a curtain pole, we recommend allowing between 2cms and 5cms above the eyelet on the underside of the curtain ring, depending on how much of the pole and rings you wish to hide. From the measurement you choose above the eyelet, measure down to the bottom of the hem (see B & C) and that is your finished length measurement.

Finished length for cottage pleat (choice of either 5cm or 10cm depth)- these have to be made using a 3cm single position tape, which makes the finished length non adjustable. To measure the finished length for this header, please provide us with the distance from the eyelet to the floor, and depending on your choice of depth, add 5cm or 10cm accordingly.

Finished length for flop over frill - these curtains have to be made with a 3cm single position tape which makes the finished length non adjustable. To measure the finished length for this header, just give us the measurement from the eyelet to the floor. Don't add any extra for the frill, we will do that.

Please note, we will add 25cm for hem allowance.

Finished length: For pencil pleat, triple pleat and double pleat - when measuring the finished length of your curtains using a track add 1cm above the track (to hide the track) down to the bottom of the hem. (D)*
