Upholstery Fabrics for Trimming

Do you sell trimmings to go with your fabrics?

No but we do recommend trimming your blinds, curtains, cushions and quilts with a complimentary smaller scale print or a plain linen union.

This means adding a narrow strip (called a leading edge: approximately 10cm wide) of a second fabric to the central edges of your curtains, or to the bottom edge of your blinds.

With our furniture a trim would be a contrast piping, so you would pick out a colour from the main fabric and pipe the sofa in that.

Pretty Maids, Sepals and Petals, Simple Ticking and May Blossom and all our stripes are good examples. For example if you have chosen Up The Garden path is Dusky Pink, you could trim it with Pretty Maids in Dusky Pink and Winter.

Sometimes if you want to link with other colours in a room, for instance if you have a Damson sofa and chair and Kale green curtains, consider putting a damson leading edge on your curtains.

We can help you with these choices so please do ring us and ask. On our web site if you choose a fabric and then click on ‘MORE ABOUT THIS FABRIC’ you will be shown all the coordinating fabrics you can choose from.
