Plum Fabric

Proud and regal or soft and sweet, plum purple fabrics range from vibrant violet to pale lavender. Whether you blanket a whole room with the colour or just use it as an accent, this mystical hue is bound to make a statement.

Plum purple is a great answer, because it offers a spirited mood. However, to add more youthful atmosphere, you can mix plum soft furnishing fabric with another colours, such as grey, green, pink, and white.

My Plum fabrics are a soft aubergine, a warm shade of purple, a homage to red and purple, with a touch of yellow.

This Plum shade paired with a mossy green is common in French and shabby chic decors.

My Plum fabric range can be found in my Orchard Collection. I have combined it with Kale green in several coordinating designs. You can buy my plum shade fabrics by the metre or yard to make cushions, curtains, blinds and more.

You can I use my plum upholstery fabric for covering chairs, sofas, bedheads and footstools.

What colours go well with your plum fabrics?

Several shades of green, especially Kale and Olive look great with plum. Kale green is as earthy as it gets! See my Fruit Garden design and also May Blossom, which major on the Plum colour with an accent of Kale green.

Any of my greens from Sepals and Petals to Simple Ticking in Kale will contrast well with my Plum fabrics.

A touch of Charcoal grey or Dove grey also coordinate well and ground the colour scheme in a room, three colours always make the room look less contrived. So, try my Plain Linen Union in Charcoal and Dove in particular, for a bed valance of cushion.

You could bring these same colours in with a little pattern; try to contemporary Sepals and Petals. My Moss green velvet is the perfect tone, to upholster a chair in in a Plum bedroom or sitting room.
