Vanessa loves the distinctive marks and textures created by the blocks which are completely different to the smooth finish of conventional mechanically printed fabrics. These designs were originally block printed and then the marks were transferred to silk screens and that is now how they are produced. They make beautiful lampshades and give a room a really rustic and gentle feel.
There are two different hand printed fabric designs to play with – Life and Eternity Detail, a traditional paisley fertility symbol, and a Simple Ticking Detail stripe. You can choose a second fabric to line the lampshade; applicable to Drum Lampshades only.
There are four shapes to choose from: Empire, Drum, Pleated, and Candle (always sold as a pair), along with several size options.
Each bespoke item is beautifully made in our local workshops by professionals, hand finished with great care and attention. Our makers use traditional methods and take real pride in what they do. With Made to Measure, there is no need to compromise; you can create a unique look with your choice of fabric and those important finishing touches that will complement and coordinate your home.
