If I choose terracotta fabrics for my lampshade how would my room feel?

Terracotta is often used as a colour word, to describe the natural brown-orange colour of terracotta pots. A shade between orange and brown, terracotta is a cosy colour that helps to warm the house with even just a few touches such as a lampshade. 

Some shades of natural wood can also add hues of this colour into a room, as can floor tiles.

We have two shades of this colour and have called them: Terracotta and Peach.

Each bespoke lampshade is beautifully made in our local workshops by professionals, hand finished with great care and attention. Our makers use traditional methods and take real pride in what they do. With made-to-measure, there is no need to compromise; you can create a unique look with your choice of fabric and those important finishing touches that will complement and co-ordinate your home. 

There are four shapes to choose from: empire, drum, pleated, and candle (always sold as a pair), along with several size options. You can choose a second fabric to line the lampshade; applicable to drum lampshades only.

Both the colour and fabric of a lampshade influence how it diffuses light.

You can buy our fabrics in 10cm increments, starting at 50cm, and make your own lampshade. Alternatively, you can use our made to measure service and we will make one, especially for you.

Please ask for fabric samples and see the colours in your rooms. If you order a half metre returnable sample you can pin it to your present curtains and see how it looks. All our fabrics are printed in the UK on a good weight of 100% Linen and Linen Union making them suitable for lampshades, curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery. We hold a good stock of all our fabrics ensuring delivery is usually within 3-5 working days subject to availability. The same team, who takes your order will roll, inspect, and cut it, so accuracy and quality can be assured.
