Made to Measure Roman Blinds

A Japanese inspired Collection

Do you have any Shibori Roman Blind fabrics?

This collection of simple geometric fabrics and wallcoverings has been inspired by the eighth-century Japanese art of Shibori.  The designs are called Shibori, Origami and Momo.

The original designs were created by folding, shaping and compressing fabrics by hand and then immersing them in a traditional indigo vat. You can never totally control the process and so the results are always unique and the designs only revealed when the fabric is unwrapped; this is the true joy of Shibori.

Artisan's striking motifs involve daringly bold colourways of Saffron, Indigo, and Kale. Also included are multi-directional, all-overprints - a new departure for Vanessa when first released!  The designs are called Shibori, Origami and Momo.

All these fabrics make superb roman blinds and give a contemporary feel to a room.

Please ask for fabric samples and see the colours in your rooms. If you order a half metre returnable sample you can drape them over your existing blinds, or just in situ to where the blind will go, and see how it looks. All our fabrics are printed in the UK on a good weight of 100% Linen, and Linen Union, making them suitable for lampshades, curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery. We hold a good stock of all our fabrics ensuring delivery is usually within 3-5 working days subject to availability. The same team, who takes your order will roll, inspect and cut it, so accuracy and quality can be assured.

HOW TO MEASURE UP FOR YOUR ROMAN BLINDS

INSIDE A WINDOW RECESS

Width: Measure across the recess at several points and give the narrowest measurement minus 1cm for clearance so the blind will run freely (see E on the diagram)

Length: Measure from the top of the recess to the bottom (see E on the diagram)

OUTSIDE A WINDOW RECESS

Width: Measure the width of the recess and add at least 5cms on each side for overlapping (see F on the diagram)

Length: Measure from the required starting position above the window to the length you require, adding 5cms on the length
