The Scandinavian Style Fabrics

Light, fresh and contemporary weaves with a Scandinavian look

As its name suggests, there is a strong Scandinavian theme to the Scandi Wovens Collection, which comprises of four different designs, each in a choice of colourways. Lapland Stripe evokes the simple landscape and rural life of the Sami people in Lapland, whilst Scandi Stripe has a much more contemporary feel. For me, Nordic Stripe evokes wood panelled interiors and warm log fires. Malmo is another beautiful striped design that cludes oranges and blues on a Linen Union fabric, also with a wonderful embroidered motif, ideal for curtains!

I love the colour and texture of woven fabrics, the feel of individual spun yarns, and the handle of the fabric. I have learnt so much about designing the twelve Woven Scandinavian fabrics in this collection.

Our Scandinavian Fabrics are a hand-woven IKAT print, and the pattern can be irregular and random throughout and not as consistent as a printed design. Please consider this when pattern matching as you may not get a perfect repeat, this is perfectly normal for this collection of fabrics.

*Please note - all of our woven fabrics in this collection are for light upholstery only. The Martindale rub test is 15,000
