One of my favourite artists is Matisse, who towards the end of his life cut out bold, simple shapes for collages. I used this method to create Up In The Air and Swallow Dive. Pie In The Sky and Simple Spot began in the same way but took on a wonderfully organic block printed feel reminiscent of the Arts and Crafts Movement. I love the changes each season brings to trees and hope that this is reflected in my Four Seasons design.
