Child safe blinds can help keep young children safe with continuous chains which can be fastened to your window frame. All of our blinds comply fully with saftey regulations and feature breakaways to protect your children from accidental choking.

All of our made to measure roman blinds are child safe

The Roman Blinds we make in our Made to Measure service comply with the child safety legislation. Hanging instructions are provided with all blinds on completion. 

- For Roman Blinds on rotary chain tracks, they are supplied with a continuous beaded chain.

- For a wooden batten, it comes with a cord and brass, chrome, or wooden acorn fastened on the end. To secure the blind once pulled into place, you can then tie the cord around the two cleats provided. It will rest 1.5m off the ground so for child safety. 

All blinds have breakaways applied, so if children do pull on the cords or chains, then they will come away from the blind. 

These safety features mean our made to measure roller blinds can be the perfect addition to a child's nursery or kids bedroom.

Borders - You can add a 5 cm contrasting bottom border, or an all-round border on the right, left, and bottom edge of the blind. Any of Vanessa's fabrics can be used for this, for example Gypsy Garland in Dove, with a bottom border in Stockholm Stripe - Dove, Winter, or Pretty Maids in Dove and Winter. Plain linen unions also make great borders for Roman Blinds.
