We have some really exciting news to share with you: Vanessa Arbuthnott’s beautiful British fabrics have officially made their way over to the US in a delightful new collaboration with Homeworthy!
This beloved interiors platform recently featured Vanessa’s characterful Cotswold cottage in a beautifully shot home tour, inviting viewers from across the United States into her world of vibrant colours and dreamy textures. For us, this marks a significant step into the US interiors scene, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring our charming Cotswold fabrics to homes across the Atlantic!
So, are you ready to step inside Vanessa’s whimsical Cotswold home? Let’s dive straight in…
Inside Vanessa’s home: From derelict byre to storybook charm
What is now a storybook English country house began its life as an unloved cow byre. Together with her architect husband, Vanessa saw beyond the crumbling walls and envisioned a home that was bursting with personality. They have spent over 30 years shaping the space into a characterful and imaginative family home, guided by their shared passion of craft and creativity.
Step inside and discover a patchwork of timeworn textures and meaningful moments. From handcrafted curtains fluttering at the windows to upholstered heirlooms, Vanessa’s fabrics can be seen in every room. Upstairs, a labyrinth of petite bedrooms hide behind twisting staircases, each telling its own unique tale. With sketchbooks open mid-drawing and games frozen mid-play, her characterful cottage is an unfiltered representation of daily family life.
It’s this sense of personality and charm that made Vanessa’s home the perfect subject for Homeworthy’s storytelling lens…

Our exclusive interview with Homeworthy
How did you discover Vanessa Arbuthnott and her home?
“I actually found Vanessa through Instagram – she popped up on my For You page, and I was instantly drawn to her style,” Dani shared. “I went down a rabbit hole researching her and her company. I came across a photo I believed was her home, so I reached out, asked for more pictures, and set up a call. She was absolutely charming, and her beautiful countryside home was everything I hoped it would be.”
What stood out about Vanessa’s style?
“Her layered aesthetic and effortlessly collected vibe immediately stood out to me. The whole place feels like it’s straight out of a Nancy Meyers movie – from the greenery climbing the exterior walls, to the painted stairs, to the cosy rooms filled with her signature fabrics. It’s the kind of home that tells a story.”
Why do you think Vanessa’s home appeals to a US audience?
“There’s a strong aspirational quality to her home. It feels lived-in, collected over time, and deeply personal – but never pretentious. It’s sophisticated without taking itself too seriously, which really resonates with American audiences. And her fabrics alone are something to be admired!”
