Made to Measure Designer Cushions

Which neutrals do you recommend for curtains?

I love pink curtains! Mixing soft shades such as my Mallow and Lily Pink with the stronger shades of Damson and Sweet Pea, is so feminine and indulgent. It's not just for little girls. The colour of the moment is cheery, sophisticated, and pretty.

Sweet Pea is my brightest and most strident pink and makes up striking pink patterned curtains, in Up the Garden Path, Pretty Maids or even Stockholm Stripe.

My Damson pink is a bluer softer tone and features as the mid pink shade in so many of my designs, see my Fruit Garden, In Full Flight, Gypsy Garland, Cow Parsley and Leaf Dance designs, to name just a few! It makes the most beautifully delicate soft pink curtains which is why it is my favourite soft pink fabric.

Mallow is halfway to Lily pink, and this pink upholstery fabric can make stunning curtains for a playroom. See my Wild Fern or Lattice Leaf designs.

Lily Pink is the softest prettiest pink, and is available in my Branching Out, Lattice Leaf and Little Fern designs.

Dusky Pink has a more vintage feel with more brown mixed in with it, see Up the Garden Path, Dawn Chorus and For the Love of Rose as a few examples of this lovely colour.

We have a large collection of warm and cool neutrals for making cushions to create soothing and calm interiors.

Neutral tones create a timeless interior, but do not need to be dull and boring; by layering different shades and using texture a neutral scheme will be interesting and relaxing.

Neutral fabrics can range from muted Duck Eggs, to Creams and sophisticated shades of grey such as Dove, Scree and Charcoal.

You need to choose the best shade for your room by considering the way the room faces, the amount of light you get and the atmosphere you want to create. Do you want a light and airy room or are you trying to create a warm and cosy scheme?

Using these neutrals in living rooms and bedrooms creates a relaxing feel and are suitable for all types of homes – from city apartments to country homes: I would recommend making a mood board so that you can see how the different shades and textures you have chosen work together.

We can make Made to Measure cushions using our designer fabric in a selection of sizes or styles.

Each of our bespoke cushions are beautifully made for you by professionals in our traditional workshop based in the Cotswolds. They are hand finished with great care and attention and delivered to you well within eight weeks.
