Made to Measure Lampshades

The 100% linen yarns are dyed and then intricately woven together to produce this very fresh Scandinavian Style Collection. Here, the pattern is integrated into the fabric through weaving rather than printing. The designs included in this collection are Baltic, Lapland, Nordic and Scandi Stripe, along with Malmo, a wonderful orange coloured woven with embroidered diamond motifs running down the vertical stripes.

The IKAT part of the stripe (a characteristic of IKAT fabrics is an apparent irregular "blurriness" to the design), is created here by screen printing the colour onto the warp (north to south) threads, and then the weft (west to east) is woven across them, producing the irregular and famous IKAT shapes. These linens are hand loomed with incredible expertise and love.

Each bespoke lampshade is beautifully made in our local workshops by professionals, and hand finished with great care and attention. Our makers use traditional methods and take real pride in what they do. With Made to Measure, there is no need to compromise; you can create a unique look with your choice of fabric and those important finishing touches that will complement and co-ordinate your home.

There are four shapes to choose from: empire, drum, pleated, and candle (always sold as a pair), along with several size options. You can choose a second fabric to line the lampshade; applicable to drum lampshades only.

You can buy our fabrics in 10cm increments, starting at 50cm, and make your own lampshade. Alternatively, you can use our Made to Measure service and we will make one, especially for you

Please ask for fabric samples and see the colours in your rooms. If you order a half metre returnable sample you can drape them over your existing shades, or just in situ to where the shade will go, and see how it looks. All our fabrics are printed in the UK on a good weight of 100% Linen, and Linen Union, making them suitable for lampshades, curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery. We hold a good stock of all our fabrics ensuring delivery is usually within 3-5 working days subject to availability. The same team, who takes your order will roll, inspect and cut it, so accuracy and quality can be assured.
