Is grey a good colour to use on a Quilt?

Designer grey quilts can offer a subtle style, choose from our greys which mix of blacks and whites as well as elements of other colours such as blue, green, pink, mauve or yellow to lift and energize your space.

With our Quilts, you can choose from up to three different fabrics to create a beautiful, double-sided, luxury Quilt. As an example why not choose a dark shade of Charcoal grey for your face fabric for a dramatic effect, with a complementary fabric on the reverse that can pick up on accent colours around the room, and then a contrast border to tie it altogether! Colour combinations that go very well together with grey are Saffron yellows, Damson pink, Field Green, Soft Cornflower blues, Soft Raspberry reds, and bright Sweet Pea pinks. 

What grey fabrics do you have?

Our grey fabrics are called: Winter, Charcoal, Clay, Dove, Dormouse, and Scree, with Winter being the darkest and closest to black. Charcoal is a mid-grey, easy to live with kind on the eye. We also have a green-grey called Pigeon, a beautifully soft colour and very easy to use.  

Softer and our most popular soft warm grey is Dove, which we mix with Saffron and Smoke, in stripes, spots and prints. The prettiest of all our greys is Clay, which we team with Damson, Buttercup, Hay yellow, and Sweet Pea pinks. Dormouse is incredibly understated, but very effective and complements most of our bolder colours, for example, Saffron.

Please ask for fabric samples and see the colours in your rooms. If you order a half metre returnable sample you can drape them over your existing soft furnishings, or just in situ to where the fabric will go, and see how it looks.

All our fabrics are printed in the UK on a good weight of 100% Linen, and Linen Union, making them suitable for lampshades, curtains, blinds, cushions, and upholstery. We hold a good stock of all our fabrics ensuring delivery is usually within 3-5 working days subject to availability. The same team, who takes your order will roll, inspect and cut it, so accuracy and quality can be assured.
